Optometrist

An Optometrist examines, diagnoses, treats and manages diseases of the eye and associated structures. Optometrists also treat injuries to the eye but do not perform surgery (this is done by an ophthalmologist). Optometrists prescribe, fit and adjust glasses or contact lenses after conducting eye tests for vision problems. They also specialise in eye exercise therapy to correct eye disorders.
