Office Administration

The role of the office administrator is an integral one and can determine the successful running of an organisation. Office Administrators, often referred to as the backbone of any organisation includes Personal Assistants, Secretaries, and Administrative Assistants, amongst others all play an integral role in keeping the state of affairs of companies large and small, organised and running smoothly and efficiently.

Often stereotyped as an unglamorous and unfulfilling career, office administration can be challenging and rewarding, with the opportunity of branching out into other avenues. Previously regarded as a “strictly female” domain, the world of office admin is slowly being infiltrated by males, defying stereotypes and cynics alike.

Office administration entails more than just keeping the CEO’s diary or taking minutes in a meeting. It forms the backbone of any organisation, and without effective office admin procedures in place, running it to it optimal capacity becomes challenging.
